Nijmegen: Fence

ah

This morning children were waiting in front of the Albert Heijn supermarket, asking me and other customers for soccer playing cards, while standing behind a fence; else they would harass the customers too much… These are the moments you have to be patient with your heimat.

Nijmegen: Good

I am currently in the studio together with Audrey Chen. Today I’ve heard the most crazy sounds. The album will be good.

Nijmegen: Directions

station nijmegen

On the train an older woman asked me if I was going to the airport. I told her I was heading to Nijmegen. She was going to Schiphol Airport herself and wondered if I could help her with some information, it was the first time she was going to fly. I helped her with some … Read more

Eindhoven: Family

easy-rider-big-pic-1024

I am in Eindhoven, visiting my sister and my brother in law. My brother in law bought a new motorbike and is anxious to modify and fix it, so he can take it on the road. I am not really familiar with engineblocks, wheelbases and mp/h/km/h, but I listened carefully.

Hannover: Radical

Although I was not truly in party mood, I wanted to join them to a concert of 2 girls playing “experimental metal music.” We left after 5 minutes, since the music was horrible. I read afterwards the girls … Read more

Like I wrote already a few months ago, I have been looking forward to this day for a very long time. It was sweet. Although … Read more

Berlin: Planning

This morning I had coffee with Bill Kouligas (Family Battle Snake). We discussed the coming year, our touring plans or the lack of that. The coming year I am gonna take it easy; I wanna enjoy being with my friends, working on music in the studio and cut back on the touring a little. Bill … Read more

Dresden: Schnapps

bergbaan dresden

This morning I recorded the sound of the 547-meter long funicular railway between the city districts of Loschwitz and Weisser in Dresden. It’s the only one of it’s kind in the world, and trust me: it’s special! The ride just takes a couple of minutes, but in that short period of time, in which you … Read more

Graz: Delays

graz-vliegveld

After waiting for my flight for 3 hours, I can finally board my plane in 10 minutes. The monitors show all the horrorstories of snowed-in travellers, waiting in trafficjams and sleeping on airports. Here in Graz everything is pretty relaxed; people eating a sandwich, drinking a beer, talking about their travels. The sun is bright, … Read more

Graz: Conveyor Belt

belt

Together with Audrey, John Fanning and the girls from FruFru I had a preshow dinner at a chinese-japanese conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Although I couldn’t understand what the waitress was saying, the food was delicious.
