Rotterdam: Israeli tourism
In the plane to Amsterdam I had a short conversation with two Israeli tourists, a young couple travelling through Europe in search for their past. When the girl told me she felt nothing at all while walking over the cobblestones in Auschwitz, I understood what she was talking about. The guy added: “We Israeli’s don’t complain about our past…” I didn’t really know what to answer.
