Kiev: The Hill
Today I played an afternoon show in Kiev, Ukraine. Before the soundcheck I walked up the hill next to the Dnepr river where I made recordings for my first album, now almost five years ago. It was early saturdaymorning, small groups of youngsters were hanging around, drinking beer. I recorded almost the same sound as five years ago; the wind, crows and kids playing on the grass. It felt like time stood still.
