Berlin: Russian Drugs

1_017

As many of the readers of this blog will know already, I am very interested in Russian life and culture. On my debut-album Exhibition I featured a song called Boryspol about drug-abuse in Russia and the Ukraine and my personal experiences with the large amounts of syringes needles you find on the streets. The New York Times put out a call for videos, asking Russians to describe issues that concern them, from housing problems to drug addiction to law-enforcement corruption and unresponsive government bureaucracies. The goal of this project is to feature the widest variety of Russian voices. I’ve been following this project and some interesting views and idea’s have come up.
